Eelman is a fictional character from the Colt-Universe. He once was a fisherman, but one day he was flashed by a radioactive eel, what gave him the ability to shooh lighnings out of his hands. It also made his brain currents flow in a way wich makes him more intelligent. (comicbook story)
In the movies, his hand was too damaged to be used anymore, so his fishing team mates had to chop it of. He later builds a robotic hand being as good as his old one. (original movie story)
in the newer movies, he isn't a fisherman but got his powers by accedently touching a radioactive eel in his father's laboratory at Flug Technologies. Besides that, everything is as in the comicbooks. (2100 movie story)
